Description
Welcome beach vibes into your home. Paddywax's La Playa - Vanilla Rosa is the candle equivalent of a margarita on a Mexican coast — warm, floral, slightly spiced, with a vessel that's almost as good as the scent.
The Scent
Bergamot, sheer lemon, fresh nutmeg, and bitter lime open it bright and tropical. Rose geranium, warm amber, peony, and cedar leaf soften the middle. Rosewood, patchouli, spiced musk, and sandalwood ground the base — the candle equivalent of golden hour.
Scent Notes
- Top: Bergamot, Sheer Lemon, Fresh Nutmeg, Bitter Lime
- Middle: Rose Geranium, Warm Amber, Peony, Cedar Leaf
- Base: Rosewood, Patchouli, Spiced Musk, Sandalwood
The Vessel
9oz of clean-burning wax in a hand-blown bubble glass made by artisans in Mexico. Each vessel is uniquely shaped — size, shape, and bubble pattern vary by piece. Food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe once the candle has burned. Even features Paddywax's favorite margarita recipe on the back of the dust cover.
Why we love it
The vessel is the whole story. La Playa candles arrive with a margarita recipe printed on the box and are food-safe once empty — customers reuse them as juice glasses, tumblers, and catchalls. Functional design, beautiful candle.
Perfect for: housewarmings, summer entertaining, anyone who appreciates a candle that becomes useful when it's done.

Candle care
- On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge (about 1 hour per inch of width) so it doesn’t tunnel.
- Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn for a clean, even flame.
- Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time, away from drafts.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended, and stop when ½ inch of wax remains.
